CMHA 2020 Rep Tryouts
Hello to all members of CMHA who may be wondering about the upcoming Rep Tryouts status,
As of August 3, we are planning to begin Rep Tryouts on or around Tuesday, September 8, but no earlier. At this point we intend to keep the same process as has always taken place, but are at the mercy of whatever guidelines we may need to follow in order to conduct these tryout sessions.
Your Chilliwack Minor Hockey board has been meeting every 2 weeks since the Covid-19 crisis began in mid-March, and we are fully prepared to adapt to whatever rules and procedures we may need to follow. Until PCAHA sends us definite information, all we can say for now is that everything is ready to go, we just need to green light.
We are on top of everything and are assuring our members of fair compensation if the season is altered in any way. We are prepared to form our teams or handle coaching differently, and we are ready to adapt to however many players are allowed on the ice and how the rules might change so far as what players can do when on the ice, on the bench, or in the dressing room. And we have a plan in place in the event that only so many people are permitted in the building and how they are permitted in the building and what rules they will need to follow when there.
The important thing for all members to take note of for now is that we are planning for Rep Tryouts to begin on September 8, and we will be providing further information as it becomes available, and we are fully prepared to change plans as necessary and with minimal notice.
