Coach - HU - Online Coach 1/Coach 2
ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE A HOCKEY CANADA SAFETY PERSON (HCSP) AT EVERY PRCATICE ND GAME
These programs are delivered in two parts. In Part 1, you complete the online program. In Part 2, you attend virtual classroom sessions alongside other delegates. The Coaching Code of Ethics, Skills, Drills and Thrills, Dealing with Athletes, Dealing with Parents, and the Philosophy of Coaching are just some of the topics covered in Part A of the program.
HU - Online Coach 1/2 is a prerequisite for this course
This course is offered in a two part online model. Part 1 is an eLearning module that coaches complete by themselves through the eHockey platform, while Part 2 is a virtual face-to-face clinic presented to a cyber classroom of coach delegates by a clinic facilitation team via video conference. Delegates are qualified at Coach 1 after they have completed both the Hockey University and virtual classroom requirements for this level.

Delegates are qualified at Coach 2 after they have completed both the Hockey University and virtual classroom requirements for this level.
This course is offered in two parts. Part 1 is a virtual face-to-face clinic presented to a cyber classroom of coach delegates by a clinic facilitation team via video conference, while Part 2 is an in-person clinic that features classroom and on-ice components. Delegates receive Development 1 “Trained” status after they attend the virtual session and in-person sessions. Coaches receive “Development 1 “Certified” status after they complete they pass their post-clinic task (written assignment), field evaluation, and the Make Ethical Decisions (MED) online evaluation module in the eLearning section of The Locker.
Clinics are now available ONLY as an on-line E-Learning course. This program is a great introduction to team safety, injury recognition and important information for anyone who wishes to be a team Safety Person. From the Fair Play Code and Code of Ethics, to Safety at the Rink, Injury Management and the Emergency Action Plan, this program gives you the information and confidence needed to be the go to person on your team for health, wellness, injury recognition as well as safe and proper recovery and return to play procedures.
All courses are reimbursable except the criminal record check (Letter provided by office or website application - CMHA is a Not for Profit organization so CRC's are free for our members)

Please note all Coach Course reimbursements will be completed at the end of the season once all workbooks are completed and signed off by the President and Coach Coordinator Lee McCaw
